Welcome to 2017

We are so excited to see what God has planned for Noah’s Ark in 2017. We will have all our content on our website updated with up-to-date photographs of our families and friends.

Book Week 2014

Oh what fun we had this week.  So many book characters came to Noah’s Ark to play.  We had princesses and princes, superheros, pirates, lady birds and so many others.  Our teachers also got into it with Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, Red Riding hood, Little Miss Muffet, The Wicked Witch, The Paperbag Princess, Where’s Wally and more coming along.  We had two great parades and thank you to the parents and grandparents who came along to watch and cheer the children as they proudly showed off their costumes.  On Friday we welcomed Catrina Hylton to the centre.  This wonderful storyteller kept us entertained with stories of carnivals around the world.  We travelled to four different countries using the magic carousel and learnt some great songs and dances along the way.

Many of our children were lucky to be bought some new books from our Book Fair that ran all week.   You can never have too many books!!!!

Our Nativity Play

We decided this year to perform  two Nativity Plays with the children to tell the Story of Jesus’ birth.  All the children were given a part in the paly with our some of our older children who would be going to big school learning some lines.  We all learnt to sing Silent Night, Baa Baa White Sheep, 1 Little, 2 little, 3 little angels, We Three Kings, Twinkle twinkle little star, Away in a manger and We wish you a merry Christmas.  The staff practised with each group and we rehearsed in the Church.  On the day everyone got dressed in their costumes and performed the play in front of lots of parents, grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and friends.  Everyone did really well.  Pastor David videoed the performances as well.  Afterwards everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch.

Take 3 Marine Debris Art Competition

We are taking part in the Take 3 Marine Debris Art Competition.  We have created a canvas using the rubbish that our children have been collecting from the beach as part of the Take 3 Initiative.  This Canvas will be displayed at Erina Fair from 8th October – 14th October and at Tuggerah Library from 14th – 20th October.  Please go and have a look at our wonderful creation and don’t forget to vote in the People’s Choice Award!  Voting for the People’s Choice award will be made via the voting barrel next to the Take 3 Preschool Art Challenge Display (located in Centre Court) Voters will receive a chance to support Take 3 via a Gold coin donation but also are eligible to win a wonderful prize for our centre just by voting.

We are Pirates!

Today one of our children arrived at Noah’s Ark dressed as a pirate!  This started a Pirate Day!  We talked like pirates, we read pirates books, we made Pirate hats.  With chief Pirate Beccy we drew a treasure map then went outside and followed the map to see if we could find the treasure and guess what, we did!  Gold doubloons for all!

Welcome to the Noah’s new website

Welcome to Noah’s Ark Care and Learning Centre new website.

We are still in the early stages of constructing the Noah’s new website so we ask that you be patient with us.  The old website was many years old with outdated information.  Our new website allows us to update information more easily but also has some great new features that we are sure will benefit every family.

Please visit this Noah’s new website regularly as we will be providing updates and blog posts as often as we can.  This is an exciting medium for us to share information on what is happening and what we’re doing at Noah’s Ark Care and Learning Centre.
